PLEASE NOTE. The comittee have agreed to change the meeting day to a Thursday as this will allow Town Councillors to attend our meetings. A number of town councillors have informed the NTRA that they could not attend our meetings as Wednesday NTRA meetings clashed with most Town Council meetings.                    Sorry about any inconvenience. This decision was made at a comittee meeting and all of the committee agreed. If members do not agree with this change please inform one of the committee. We aim to try and please ALL.

NOTE.Pathfinders Agreement is supported by the home office and is an agreement between the authorities and the residents regarding the level of service than can be supplied and expected from various autherities.
Dave Sleeman and John Coltman went to a meeting set up by The County Council Rob Andrew, Dave Chadwick and a representative from the Home Office. Newquay is one of a few areas that have been selected within the UK for this pathfinders scheme. This is a follow up of all the good work by the County Council, the NTRA committee and members.

Please help your neighbour.
If you know of any elderly who need help but can not attend our meetings please try and keep them informed and let us know if we can help them as people power does get things done.
While some of the Town Council are anti NTRA Cornwall Council do listen to our Representatives and our Residents.

Comments From Our Chairman

Let us get down to the basic facts of the situation that has got the town such a bad press:-
1. Extremely bad planning and licensing decisions made by the councillors and officers of the now defunct Restormel Council.
2. Sensational advertising by the local authorities marketing Newquay as a frenzied party town where anything goes.
3. A totally out of control supposedly organised control bar crawl causing mayhem in Beachfield Avenue.
4. The story of the Bar Crawl sensationally portrayed by the local press (Newquay Voice).
5. The Daily Mail having picked up the story of the Bar Crawl due to the publicity in the local press coming to Newquay, joining a Bar Crawl the and publishing the true facts of the event. Read the rest of this entry »
